The Metro covered the truth about my Apprentice experience

Today I finally spoke publicly about the drama that was The Apprentice and being a reality contestant with The Metro. I talked about having my fame for all of five minutes. What it meant, how it left me and why it took me nearly 2 years to repair myself.

As I cut my teeth in the PR world for well over a decade I know it’s all about moving faster, getting more results and capitalising on your moment. However I had to do the opposite in this process. I had to go against everything I had told all of my clients to do throughout my career. I didn’t capitalise on the show as much as I could have. I went quiet. I had to recover. I learned that life is about seasons and I had to go through a long winter before I could find summer again.

I am so glad I took my time as I definitely feel like I’m in full bloom now. I really learned that withdrawing to rebuild was a necessity and it was through this withdrawal that I found my voice and reconnected to writing and my passion for coaching. To be fair I do have The Apprentice to thank for these gifts.
